HOBC - Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club
The purpose of the Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club is to support students in the Hillgrove orchestra program. Parents, this is an excellent opportunity for you to be involved in your child’s musical and social development. I hope for Hillgrove to be participating in orchestra festivals at UGA, Georgia State University, the GMEA Orchestra Festival, and to take a Spring Tour each year. These are all extra activities that will foster better musicianship in our students and ultimately help our program to flourish. These activities will not be possible without the support of a booster club. Please join The Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club and help support our fine young musicians, amd be sure to check the Hillgrove Orchestra Calendar for important HOBC events and dates.

A Note from the Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club:
On behalf of the Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club, let us extend to you a very warm welcome as we begin the 2007-2008 year. We are very excited about the calendar of events already in place for the orchestra, and look forward to seeing you throughout this year.
Are you investing money in your child’s music education? If so, you are wisely investing in their future. Whether they pursue music as a career or not, statistics reveal that students who study music performance throughout middle school and high school have higher SAT scores and a significantly higher college graduation rate than students who do not. The discipline and higher-level thinking skills they acquire through music study enable them to become outstanding doctors, lawyers, scientists and teachers as well as outstanding musicians.
Are you investing time in your child’s music education? We want to encourage you to do so. Hillgrove High School has an exceptional orchestra program. The commitment of parents to the Booster Club is one of the main reasons this success is possible. Giving us some of your time is a great way to protect your investment in your child’s education.
