Have a great Summer!

I just wanted to write a few comments about how proud I am of the work that everyone did over the past year.  Both orchestras have improved so much, and your level of excitement and commitment are to be commended.  You guys are great and I know that next year is going to be the best yet!

I hope everyone had a good time at the banquet.  Congratulations to all of our award winners, and a best wishes to all of our graduating seniors.

Have a great summer…and don’t forget to practice!  I will be holding re-auditions for orchestra placement as soon as we come back in August.  Be prepared!

Wow!  What a great Spring Concert!  I thought the evening was a big success.  The Concert Orchestra’s performance was outstanding…Farandole was really spirited.  The Chamber Orchestra did a great job on the Bach and Mahler.  Of course the highlight of the evening were the two Pink Floyd tunes.  It was a really fun evening.  Best wishes to all of our seniors…

Spring Concert and Orchestra Banquet Information

The Spring Orchestra Concert will be held in the newly dedicated Joseph B. Boland Theater at Hillgrove on Thursday, May 7 beginning at 7PM.  Concert uniforms (including proper shoes and socks) are required for this concert. Students should be in the orchestra room no later than 6:30 dressed and ready to go.  There will be a short intermission with concessions available.

The Hillgrove Orchestra Banquet will be held on Friday, May 15 at 7PM in the Hillgrove Cafeteria.  Dinner will be catered by Macaroni Grill and will be served from 7 to 8 PM.  If you are not having dinner with us, we will begin the awards ceremony and slideshow at 8PM.  The evening should be over by 9PM.  I hope to see everyone there!
