Summer Camp Information
If you are interested in attend a camp or workshop over the summer, now is the time to get the process started. There are many camps in the southeast, and several right here in the Atlanta Metro area. Check out the links below for information.
Attending a summer music camp is an outstanding way to improve as a musician, with opportunities to study with professionals and to meet other students with similar interests. I know that I will never forget my experiences at different music camps each summer.
Enrollment is limited for most camps, so if you are interested you should apply early. I will be happy to help you in any way…if you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or send an email. Making music is a great way to spend the summer…I hope you will consider attending a camp this year.

Playing Test on Friday
We will have a playing test (for grades only) on Friday, January 23rd.
Concert Orchestra should be prepared to play anything from “Gaelic Overture.” Chamber Orchestra will play 13 bars before Un poco piu mosso in the Dvorak.
Be prepared and practice smart!

Chamber Orchestra – Tuesday, February 24th. Arrive at McEachern by 6:45 – Performance at 8 PM.
Concert Orchestra – Thursday, February 26th. Depart Hillgrove around 1:15- return around 5PM. Performance at McEachern at 3:30.
Congratulations!
A huge congratulations go out to Kyle Mayes and Will Ulman for making the 2009 Georgia All-State Orchestra. Kyle was accepted to the 11-12 orchestra, and Will was selected as principle cello (1st Chair in the STATE) of the 9-10 orchestra. This is a great accomplishment by both students. Congratulations, and good luck at All-State!
Letter Jacket Sizing on Jan 16
If you expect to earn or have already earned an Orchestra Letter and you wish to purchase a letter jacket, a representative from Neff will be taking orders for letter jackets on Friday, January 16th during lunch. Leather sleeve jackets are $232.00 and vinyl sleeve jackets are $174.00. Full payment is due when you are sized for your jacket.
