What a great year! I am so proud of our success this year. Both orchestras earned ’superior’ ratings at the GMEA Orchestra Festival, and we brought home the “Outstanding Orchestra Award” from the Heritage Festival in Williamsburg ,VA.
Here are some individual awards that our students have received over the past few weeks:
From Hillgrove Honors Night:
Jared Ford (cello) - Outstanding AP Theory Student
Tori Farnell (viola) - Outstanding Orchestra Student
Rachel Ford (viola) - Outstanding World Lit Student, Outstanding Art Student, Outstanding Chemistry, GHP Finalist in Chemistry, and Outstanding Sophomore
Stephanie Bowles (violin) - Outstanding Math Student, Hillgrove PTSA Scholarship, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Scholarship
Elizabeth Southern (violin) - Outstanding Geography Student
Morgan Walker (viola) - Outstanding AP Human Geography Student
Brittany O’Brien (violin) - Outstanding AP US History Student, and Georgia Certificate of Merit
