Everyone should now have a calendar order form and instructions on how to sell our orchestra calendars. Here is all of the information that was put together by Cindy Ford and sent home this week:
Hillgrove Orchestras School Calendar Fundraiser 2007-08
Welcome back to school!
This year Orchestra members will have the opportunity to go on a Spring trip. In order to help with your finances, the Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club has come up with some fundraising ideas. Some of our fundraisers will benefit the General Fund and other fundraisers will benefit the individual orchestra student. Each student will have an individual account and all net profits from their participation in these fundraisers will go directly into their account to help offset the cost of their trip.
The first of the individual fundraisers will be our Annual School Calendar Sale. Over the summer, I put together a wall calendar that lists all the CCSD important dates, as well as all the Hillgrove High School dates. For example, the calendar lists all PTSA meetings, all Early Release Days, Report Card dates,
End-of-Course tests dates, Hillgrove Football games, etc. To make the calendar attractive, I have added in pictures from Hillgrove’s first year. There is also smaller version (Pocket Planner) that has all the dates. The planner is ideal to put in the purse or car to recall those important dates.
The Wall calendar will sell for $10 and the Pocket Planner for $5. There is a package incentive for those buying both calendars. If someone purchases both a Wall and a Pocket Planner, the price is $13.00
All students will be given an order form. If you would like to have calendars to show your customers, you must send in $13.00. You will receive one of each calendar. You may then keep the calendars for your own. If you choose not to keep the calendars, you may sell them. We will not make refunds for your sale samples.
The per-calendar profit will be figured at the end of the drive. All costs for running the calendar drive will be subtracted from the gross profit. The net profit from the calendars that YOU sell will be deposited into YOUR trip account at the end of the calendar sale.
Because the calendar is a school year calendar, running from August 2007 to July 2008, it is imperative that the calendar sale begin immediately. If you are interested in earning money to offset the cost of the trip, I will be giving out order forms on August 14th. If you want one of each calendar to show customers, bring $13.00 cash or check. Checks should be made to “HOBC”. It is always easier to sell a product if you have a something to show your customers.
I was very fortunate to offset some of the cost of the calendars with advertisements. These sponsors were very gracious in supporting us so please patronize their businesses.
See you on the 14th,
Cindy Ford,
HOBC Secretary and
Calendar Fundraiser Committee Chair
