Summer Music Camp Information
If anyone is interested in attend a camp or workshop over the summer, now is the time to get the process started. There are many camps in the southeast, and several right here in the Atlanta Metro area. Attending a summer music camp is an outstanding way to improve as a musician, with opportunities to study with professionals and to meet other students with similar interests. I know that I will never forget my experiences at different music camps each summer. Here are some links to help you get started:

Enrollment is limited for most camps, so if you are interested you should apply early. GMEA Orchestra Festival Information
The Hillgrove Orchestras will be participating in the 2007 District XII Orchestra Festival at McEachern High School on February 27th and 28th.
The Intermediate Orchestra will perform on Tuesday, February 27th at 11:45.
The Advanced Orchestra will perform on Wednesday, February 28th at 12:45.
Students in both orchestras will be missing school for their performances (this will be an excused absence). Parents and family are encouraged to attend the festival.
Also, we will need 6-8 parents to accompany us on each of these field trips. Please let me know if you are available to help out as a chaperone. More detailed information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Orchestra Spirit Wear Information
The first order of Orchestra Spirit Wear will be placed at the end of this week. Please download the Orchestra Spirit Wear Order Forms here and follow the instructions on the form. All orders need to be placed by Thursday, January 18. We will be making additional orders in the coming months.
Booster Club Meeting
The Booster Club meeting that was scheduled for January 11 has been changed to Thursday, January 18. We are waiting on spirit wear to arrive…examples of all of our new spirit wear should be here by next week for everyone to see.
